On the morning of Jan. 31,the First Session of the 13th People’s Congress of Shaanxi Province successfully completed its agenda and ended in Xi’an. Hu Heping, the newly elected Director Liu Xiaoyan, Zhu Jingzhi, Guo Qing, Liang Hongxian, Dai Zhengshi, Guo Dawei, Secretary-General Han Shuiqi served as the Executive Presid ent of the Congress and sit in the front row. Hu Heping presided over the closing conference.

In his closing speech, Hu pointed out that the First Session of the 13th People’s Congress of Shananxi Province is an assembly that necer forget its original intention and remember its mission, and it is a congress that hold high the flag and gather trength. It is a meeting that will catch up with and follow the past, and will surely push Shaanxi to take a more confident stance and show a new look in the newera, quicken the catching-up and make new achievements on the new journey with a firmer pace. It is a glorious and arduous task that entrusted to us by history to write the Shaanxi reply of the new era. We should follow Xi Jinping’s socialist ideol ogy with Chinese characteristics in the new era, comprehensively implement rhe imp ortant speech delivered by General Secretary Xi Jinping during his visit to Shaanxi. We will earnestly inplement the ‘’Five New’’ strategic tasks in a spirit of nail biting, ensure the building of a moderately prosperous society in all respects, and strive to write a new era of pursuing and surpassing the new one.

Yuan Yanfeng,chairman of Yan’an Shuangfeng Group, attended the congress as a representative of Shaanxi Provincial People’s Congress, and said in an interview with Shaanxi TV: We will fulfill our duties conscientiously and bring the spirit of this meeting to the grass-roots level.
